James Whelan Butchers has been delivering meat to thousands of customers all over Ireland and the UK since 2004. Our service allows customers to order online from the comfort of their homes/offices and have our products delivered to them within 24hrs. We handle your order with the same great care and attention to quality and food safety as we would if you buy in our shop. Your meat is custom cut, weighed and priced by our in-store butchers, packed into a temperature controlled box in a dedicated packing room, and stored in a temperature controlled environment for delivery the next day. We care about creating a special experience for all of our customers: from the ease of placing your order on our website to the exciting arrival of our products direct to your doorstep.

Our system will accept orders 24hrs a day but it is only possible for us to process orders that have been received prior to 2pm on any given day for next day delivery, with the exception of Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Our quality meat delivery services run on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays, but we can arrange for delivery on Saturday morning at an extra cost of €23.00 – please contact us after placing your order to arrange weekend delivery.
Our online ordering facility is open 24 hours a day, 7 day a week and orders are processed by our staff here at James Whelan Butchers shop from Monday to Friday. Once your order is processed, it will be delivered to your home within 48 hours.
Online orders include nationwide delivery free of charge for all orders over €100 (ROI and Northern Ireland). For orders under that amount, delivery costs €10 in ROI and Northern Ireland.
UK customers please note that currently we cannot deliver Pork and Poultry products to UK.
We require 48 hours notice for all UK deliveries and we deliver in the following days – Wednesday, Thursday & Friday (with an extra charge of €10 charge for delivery).
Packing and Storage
James Whelan Butchers packages are delivered by a professional courier company. Each item is individually sealed in air tight foil packaging and stored in a controlled temperature environment, surrounded by gel packs before being packed into one of our distinctive James Whelan Butchers delivery boxes.
The temperature will remain below 4° C until you open the box.
