However, if you prefer you could use all closed cup or chestnut mushrooms.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jameswhelanbutchers.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/Pork-Chops-with-Mushrooms-and-Garlic.pdf\"><strong>Pork Chops with Mushrooms and Garlic &#8211; Printer Friendly Download<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">Ingredients<\/span><\/h2>\n<div id=\"ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_ctl04_ctl00_Recipe_ingredients__ControlWrapper_RichHtmlField\">\n<ul>\n<li>1 tablesp. olive oil<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jameswhelanbutchers.com\/proddetail.php?prod=6412\">4 x 100g lean pork chops, well trimmed<\/a><\/li>\n<li>150g packet gourmet mushrooms\u00a0sliced<\/li>\n<li>1 garlic clove, crushed<\/li>\n<li>2 tablesp. medium sherry<\/li>\n<li>200ml creme fraiche<\/li>\n<li>Boiled potatoes and green beans, to serve<\/li>\n<li>Salt and freshly ground black pepper<\/li>\n<li>Small knob of butter<\/li>\n<li>2 shallots, finely chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Serves 4<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: normal;\">To Cook<\/span><\/h2>\n<div id=\"ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_ctl08_ctl00_Recipe_cooks_notes__ControlWrapper_RichHtmlField\">\n<p>Cooking Time: 30 mins.<\/p>\n<p>Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 4, 180C (350F). Heat the oil in a frying pan and quickly sear the chops for a minute or so on each side until golden brown, then place in an ovenproof dish, side by side. Season to taste.<\/p>\n<p>Add the butter to the pan and once melted, stir in the shallots and cook for a couple of minutes until softened, stirring. Add the mushrooms and garlic and season to taste, then saute for another few minutes until the mushrooms are just tender.<\/p>\n<p>Pour the sherry into the pan and allow to bubble down, then stir in the creme fraiche until just heated through. Spoon over the pork chops and bake for 20 minutes until the pork chops are completely cooked through.
