It\u2019s nothing short of a triumph.\u00a0If you have time on your hands there is also great satisfaction to be derived from making your own barbecue sauce &#8211; here\u2019s a simple recipe for a rich, thick sauce ideal for use with ribs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jameswhelanbutchers.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/Barbecue-Sauce.pdf\"><strong>Barbecue Sauce &#8211; Printer Friendly Download<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>1 tin of chopped tomatoes,<\/li>\n<li>1 tin of tomato puree or 4 tblsp of tomato puree,<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons brown sugar,<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons vinegar,<\/li>\n<li>2 tablespoons olive oil,<\/li>\n<li>3 cloves garlic crushed,<\/li>\n<li>4 tablespoons onion (minced),<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce,<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon dry mustard<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon cayenne fresh ground pepper to taste.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>To Cook<\/h2>\n<p>Cook the minced onion and garlic in olive oil over a medium heat until onions turn opaque.<\/p>\n<p>Add all the remaining ingredients, mix thoroughly and allow to simmer for about 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s it &#8211; enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>We hope you enjoyed reading this post by Pat Whelan of James Whelan Butchers.
