<\/p>\nWhile a lot of businesses wind down around Christmas, the average retailer probably works harder at Christmas than at any other time of year. And while it’s been very busy and our inclement Irish weather has certainly presented some challenges, we’re well into the spirit of the season this year and doing our best to spread Christmas cheer online and in our Clonmel store. We’ve even got photos to prove it!<\/p>\n

The 12th of December saw our in-store holiday party, complete with big brass band and a visit from Santa to make a festive outing for adults and kids alike (including mine! Yes they have miniature butcher aprons – we’re starting them early<\/a> in the family business…) The store was filled with happy shoppers stocking up for the season and a very merry flavour was in the air.<\/p>\n We’ve been busy online too, posting holiday snaps to Facebook<\/a> and doing our own version of the 12 Days of Christmas on Twitter. We’ve given away a copy of An Irish Butcher Shop<\/a> every day, with the last one out the door to @remwhite<\/a> on Friday. People seemed genuinely delighted to have won, with @cakeinthecountry<\/a> taking Twitpics of her brown paper package<\/a> book unboxing<\/a> and loads of Twitter people generally having fun with it.
