They can be fried, roast or barbecued, with or without a marinade or glaze.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"clear: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-386\" title=\"chicken thighs\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jameswhelanbutchers.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ch-thighs.jpg\" alt=\"thights\" width=\"120\" height=\"80\" \/>Thigh<\/h3>\n<p>The thigh is suitable for casseroling and other slow-cooking methods. Thigh meat has a lot of flavour, and is often the cut recommended for curry or oriental dishes.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"clear: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-387\" title=\"chicken leg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jameswhelanbutchers.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ch-leg.jpg\" alt=\"legs\" width=\"120\" height=\"80\" \/>Leg<\/h3>\n<p>This comprises of the drumstick and thigh. Large pieces with bones, such as this, are suitable for slow-cooking, such as casseroling or poaching. They can also be roast, and some people use the roast legs to make home made soup or stock.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"clear: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-388\" title=\"chicken breast\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jameswhelanbutchers.com\/info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/ch-breast.jpg\" alt=\"chicken breasts\" width=\"120\" height=\"80\" \/>Breast or Fillet<\/h3>\n<p>The tender white meat of the breast is the most popular part of the chicken. It is available either on the bone, or as a fillet. Chicken breast can be simply cooked in butter or can be stuffed, coated or wrapped for extra flavour. It is an extremely versatile cut.<br \/>\n<a name=\"hubbard\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Not all chickens are equal!<\/h2>\n<p>It is an often heard complaint that chicken nowadays is dry and tasteless and not a patch on the chicken eaten in the &#8216;old days&#8217;.
